Michelle Welti and Mike Chakeris, members of Manassas MMA’s Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu team, traveled to Richmond, VA to compete in US Grappling‘s 100th event this past weekend!

In the finals match Michelle quickly threw her opponent to score the first two points. After a hard battle of back and forth sweeps the score was tied 4-4. Unfortunately Michelle was down by one advantage point and ended up taking home silver.
Mike took gold in the no-gi beginner division, submitting his first opponent in less than a minute! Mike fought hard in the gi division winning his first match by points, but was unable to make it to the medal rounds. Excellent job Mike!
